FIT assistant professor of Marketing Communications Larry Tung presents his documentary Invisible No More, which he directed and co-produced with Mehrinnisa Wani.

Synopsis
Asian Americans are no longer just an emerging force in New York City politics—they are making decisive gains at every level of government. The rise in Asian American representation is unmistakable, with their growing political strength on full display, particularly in Brooklyn’s newly designated Asian opportunity district.

Established in 2023 through the once-a-decade redistricting process, the district reflects the rapid growth and increasing influence of the Asian American community. City Councilmembers Linda Lee, Sandra Ung, and Susan Zhuang, alongside State Senator John Liu and former State Senator Iwen Chu, share their paths to public service—how they broke barriers, claimed seats at the table, and now amplify the voices of their communities.

This screening is sponsored by the Jay and Patty Baker School of Business and Technology.

This event is free and open to the public.
