DESCRIPTION:Patrick Kelly\, denim overalls dress\, fall 1987\, France\, gift of Bjorn G. Amelan and Bill T. Jones\, 2016.82.9\nJoin fashion historian and assistant professor at Parsons School of Design Jonathan Michael Square and MFIT associate curator Elizabeth Way for a conversation on the significance of fashion and self-presentation for Black Civil Rights leaders from the 19th century to the present. \nThis event is also part of the 1863–1963–2023 Project: Civil Rights in FIT’s Neighborhood\, which documents the anniversaries of two pivotal events in U.S. civil rights history that took place near or on the FIT campus. \nFashion Culture programs are organized by The Museum at FIT to provide new perspectives on the culture of fashion. All programs are free unless otherwise indicated. DESCRIPTION:The Campus Anti-Violence Education Group invites the FIT community to participate in the Domestic Violence Awareness Resource Fair on Thursday\, October 5\, from noon to 2 pm in the Breezeway in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. For a full list of resources\, visit fitnyc.edu/nomore. \nHelpful information\, demonstrations\, and giveaways from on-campus and local resources will be made available.
