DESCRIPTION:From left: Keltie Ferris; Limbo Garden\, 2023\, oil and acrylic on canvas in the artist’s frame\, framed size: 67 7/8 by 62 7/8 in. 172.4 by 159.7 cm.\nArtist Keltie Ferris will discuss his artwork and life experience in this ARTSpeak lecture. \nFerris (b\,. 1977\, Louisville\, KY) is an artist living and working in Brooklyn\, NY\, whose work has been exhibited extensively nationally and internationally. He received his BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 2004 and his MFA from the Yale School of Art in 2006. His work is currently represented by Sikkemma Malloy Jenkins and has been featured on the documentary series Art21. His work is included in the public collections of the Bronx Museum of the Arts\, the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art\, and the Knoxville Museum of Art\, among others. \nThe 2025–26 ARTSpeak lecture series is presented by the Department of Fine Arts and been made possible by a generous grant from the Susan Daykin Fine Arts Department Fund. \nThis event is free and open to the public.

Vázquez-López who will present their new book\, Dress\, Fashion\, and National Identity in Puerto Rico\, in conversation with MFIT’s Senior Curator of Education Tanya Meléndez-Escalante. The book explores national identity and nation formation as well as past and current practices in Puerto Rican visual culture. A book signing follows the event. \nFashion Culture programs are organized by The Museum at FIT to provide new perspectives on the culture of fashion.
