DESCRIPTION:Join us online to learn during your lunch hour with the CitySource Lunch and Learn Series\, which are held virtually and hosted by FIT’s Center for Continuing and Professional Studies (CCPS) and the Garment District Alliance. \nDid you know that October is Manufacturing Month? It celebrates the industry’s contributions and inspire the next generation of fashion industry innovators. \nIn this session we’ll discuss: Moving From Sample to Production \nScaling up to meet growing orders is one of the biggest challenges for a growing fashion brand. For start-ups in the collection or bridge markets\, where orders can be produced and filled by sample room staff\, managing growth is difficult. Part of the challenge is in growing raw materials resources and part is growing manufacturing. \nThis session will provide insight into planning for this growth\, and how to set milestones and plan to meet them as your brand grows. Included will be how to select raw material sources that can grow with your sales\, as well as how to find production facilities that meet your growing needs. \nTopics we’ll cover: \n\nThe challenges of scaling up\nQuick response—the advantage of small brands\nMatching production order quantities to customer orders\n\nThis event is free and open to the public.  \n REGISTER ON THE CCPS WEBSITE
